This exceptional coffee comes from Kateshi Estate in northern Zambia, one of the country’s oldest and most respected coffee-growing regions. Kateshi is more than just a farm – it’s a community, where hundreds of local workers blend traditional knowledge with modern techniques to produce world-class coffee.
The estate is Rainforest Alliance Certified, which means it follows environmentally responsible farming, careful resource management, and ensures fair working conditions. Workers have access to healthcare, education, and stable employment – making this coffee not only sustainable but also deeply human.
Kateshi Farm is now one of the leading producers of Zambian coffee – from soil restoration and selective harvesting to experimental fermentations.
This particular lot was processed using anaerobic fermentation, where coffee cherries are sealed in airtight tanks for several days. The result is a cup bursting with complexity – featuring notes of marzipan, dark chocolate, and sweet orange. It has a full body, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish.
